Large German serving tray taken from a german food or beer hall in WW2 by an Australian service man.

Item is 42cms wide.

It is stamped "alpacca silver" There is also a hall mark which is a little hard to read but reads "Calder.... Milano" around a lion.

The top of the plate has an eagle with a shield stamped on it.

Alpcca silver is and alloy of Zin, copper, iron and nickel.

Original old WW1 Military Medal.

Medal is stamped 10658, 2 Cpl N. H. Ramsden 3/D.S.

Ramsden was warded the Military Medal, the Distinguished Conduct Medal and was Mention in Despatches.

I think he was awarded the medals for actions in the battle of the Somme.

I have not done much research on the man but there seems to be alot of info on him.

Medal is from a genuine estate and is in the condition that it was found in.
